On Wednesday, June 20th, Generation Harvest, City Harvest’s young professionals group, will host its annual Summer in the City at the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 West 18th Street). Summer in the City is a restaurant tasting and cocktail party that provides guests with the opportunity to see some of the city’s newest culinary stars in action.
Last year restaurants included Bark Hot Dogs, Beauty & Essex, Ditch Plains, Hecho en Dumbo, Kin Shop, L’Artusi, Mile End, Ron Ben-Israel Cakes and many others. The event also featured a Beer Garden themed VIP Room. Guests will have the chance to win unique culinary, travel, entertainment and activity prizes and experiences through a raffle and silent auction. In 2011 the event sold out weeks in advance, with over 650 guests and raising over $270,000.
